About TLC Preschool

TLC Preschool in Richmond is a Ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church.

As a family-focused preschool in Richmond, we feel blessed in so many ways. We get to nurture and guide the development of children emotionally, socially,  cognitively, physically, academically and spiritually.

We get to foster and strengthen the relationships between children, teachers, families, and our community.  We get to experience the warmth, laughter, and unconditional love that comes from a family-focused preschool that has Christ at the center. And, we get to be enriched by the diverse cultures and traditions that help our children, teachers and families gain a global perspective of our world and of each other.

Director, Sherry Carter

"Our passion for Early Childhood Education seems to be never-ending. I think the best part of our job is the “happy noise”.   We love that we are blessed to share in a small part of a child’s life.  What an honor and privilege it is to partner with parents and help them guide their children towards independence while strengthening their faith in a God who loves them so completely."

What we Believe...

Children should be valued as individuals

Children learn through play

The process of learning is more important than the end product

Children develop at different rates

Children are encouraged to be independent

Parents and teachers are a Team

Children should develop an awareness that he/she can think, work & play because God gave him/her those abilities
